Who they are

The Ambele live in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, in Momo Division, in the western part of Widikum-Menka Subdivision, in valley villages with dense forest and steep slopes. Most identify as Christians, and there are Catholic, Presbyterian, New Apostolic and Church of Christ congregations. Church leaders acknowledge that many Christians also follow traditional practices, and a minority follow only these traditional religions.
