Who they are
The Yimchungra, also called Yimchunger, are a Naga people who live in northeastern India, mainly in the Tuensang and Kiphire districts of Nagaland. Most are Christians, primarily Baptists. They grow millet, rice, corn and vegetables and raise pigs, cattle and chickens. After the millet harvest, they celebrate the five-day Metemneo festival with visits and gifts; on one day they clean the water sources, and on another they repair the paths leading to their fields.
