Who they are

The Amorua Wipiwe are a small Indigenous community belonging to the Guahibo language family who live in the plains and forests of the Orinoco River basin, between Colombia and Venezuela. Traditionally hunters and farmers, they maintain a deep connection to their ancestral lands and seek to keep their cultural identity alive amid the pressures and changes in the world around them.
