Family and kinship networks form the heart of Anglo-Romani social structure. Historically engaged in horse trading, metalworking, and seasonal trades, many today work independently in construction, vehicle sales, and various service industries. There are both families settled in conventional housing and groups that maintain close communal life on caravan sites, where mutual support, hospitality, and communal gatherings remain very much alive.
The majority of the Anglo-Romani identify with the Christian faith, with a significant presence in evangelical and Pentecostal movements that have expanded in recent decades. Their spirituality tends to be heartfelt and active, marked by prayer for healing, personal restoration, and family unity. Conversion and church life have become integral elements of identity for many clans.
