The Apiaká are an indigenous people who inhabit the banks of the Teles Pires and Juruena rivers, in northern Mato Grosso and southern Pará. Part of the Tupi-Guarani linguistic family, they maintain a rich tradition of living in harmony with the forest, marked by fishing, family farming, and the constant defense of their lands and ancestral memory.
