Os Apu são uma pequena comunidade indígena de origem tibeto-birmanesa que habita as regiões montanhosas do sudoeste da China. Intrinsecamente ligados às tradições culturais do grupo linguístico Nisu, eles preservam uma identidade comunitária muito forte, transmitida de geração em geração através do trabalho na terra e de costumes ancestrais voltados à harmonia com a natureza.
