The Injerto are Peruvians of mixed Asian ancestry, descended primarily from early Chinese and Japanese immigrants who integrated into Peruvian society over the generations. They live mainly in urban and coastal areas of Peru, speaking Spanish and blending customs and memories of East Asia with the country’s rich Andean and coastal culture.
