Os chut ruc são um pequeno grupo indígena do tronco linguístico mon-khmer, que historicamente habita as florestas densas e regiões montanhosas na fronteira entre o Vietnã e o Laos. Conhecidos por seu modo de vida tradicional profundamente integrado à mata e às cavernas, preservam uma identidade marcada pela relação íntima com a natureza e por crenças animistas ancestrais, sem conhecimento registrado da mensagem do evangelho.
