Who they are
The Dai are a small Indigenous people living on Dai Island, in the Moluccas archipelago in eastern Indonesia. They live in coastal villages, maintaining strong community ties and their own traditional language, passed down orally from generation to generation.
Their livelihood is based on small-scale fishing and family farming, and they preserve ancestral customs amid their island’s geographical isolation.
