People
Euronesians are communities of mixed ancestry, formed through unions between Europeans and indigenous peoples of the Pacific islands, with a presence in places such as New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, Fiji, and French Polynesia. They play a distinctive role as a cultural bridge between island traditions and Western ways of life.
With a strong presence in commerce, public administration, and urban life on the islands, their identity is marked by bilingualism and the ability to move naturally between two worlds while maintaining their attachment to ancestral land and Pacific cultural heritage.

Many families live in urban centers and coastal areas, working in sectors such as commerce, tourism, shipping, and public service. Their cuisine reflects the fusion of local ingredients, such as fish and tropical root crops, with European techniques and flavors. Family gatherings are highly valued, keeping the hospitality characteristic of the Pacific alive amid the fast pace of city life.
The vast majority profess the Christian faith, affiliated with Catholicism as well as historic Protestant and evangelical denominations. Faith and worship services are part of community and family calendars. The current challenge is to deepen daily commitment to biblical teaching, overcoming nominal Christianity and the distractions of modern secular life.

Growing secularization and the pressure of a consumerist lifestyle affect younger generations. Congregations lack in-depth discipleship, training for local leaders, and support for families facing the social impact of the high cost of living on the islands.
