People
Who they are
The Fali of Jilbu live in the hills of Adamawa State, Nigeria, near the town of Jilvu, and a smaller group lives in the far north of Cameroon. They speak Zizilivakan. Elders say they have always lived in the same hills, where they farm on hillside terraces supported by stone walls. Most are Christian in both countries; in Nigeria there are also Muslims and followers of the traditional religion.
