Who they are
The Igana are a small Indigenous community who inhabit the forests of Papua New Guinea. Living in villages integrated into the tropical environment, they keep strong kinship ties, oral traditions and their native language at the heart of daily life. Christianity shapes the daily life of the community, which seeks to preserve its cultural heritage while living out its faith amid the challenges of geographic isolation.
