Who they are
The Jehai are an indigenous Orang Asli people who inhabit the forests and mountain valleys of the Malay Peninsula. Traditionally hunters and gatherers, they have a deep knowledge of the tropical rainforest and preserve their native language in community life. Today they face the changes brought by the modern world while seeking to maintain their cultural roots and their vital connection to their ancestral land.
