The kakkalan are a tribal group from southern India who speak Malayalam, the language of Kerala, in addition to their own language used among themselves. They maintain a distinct tribal identity within the region’s broad Hindu mosaic. To this day, almost no kakkalan knows the gospel of Jesus Christ.
