Who they are

The Lahu Aga live in northern Laos, in about 21 villages in Bokeo and Luang Namtha provinces. They also identify themselves as Lahu Na, or Black Lahu, but they are very different from the Black Lahu of China, Myanmar, and Thailand, and speak a language distinct from those of other Lahu groups in Laos. Other peoples in Laos call them Kui. Most follow traditional beliefs; Buddhists and Christians form minorities.
