Who they are
The Mamusi are an indigenous people who live in the forests and on the mountain slopes of the island of New Britain in Papua New Guinea. With a rich communal tradition and a deep attachment to their ancestral land, they maintain their own Austronesian language in daily life and organize their social life around subsistence farming and solidarity among village families.
