Who they are

The Mbu live in the village of Ajumbu, northeast of Wum, in Cameroon’s Northwest Region. Their language, Ajumbu, is spoken only in this village and has received little study. A recent study described the sounds of the language and proposed an alphabet and spelling rules. Among the Mbu are Christians as well as followers of traditional religions.
