Os minyag orientais formam um pequeno grupo de herança cultural tibetana que vive em vales montanhosos no sudoeste da China. Com um idioma próprio e ricas tradições locais, mantêm um forte senso de comunidade ligado à vida nas altas montanhas e ao budismo tibetano. Devido ao isolamento geográfico, permanecem praticamente sem qualquer contato com a mensagem do evangelho.
