Who they are
The Mokoulou live in the Guéra region of central Chad, at the foot of the Guéra massif. Their language is Mukulu, also known as Mokilko. The local name, Gergiko, is used in mother-tongue literacy materials. Traditional religions predominate among the Mokoulou, and a minority of the people identify as Christian.
