Who they are
The Naueti are an indigenous people living in eastern East Timor. They preserve their mother tongue and a rich cultural tradition tied to farming and social organization around family clans. Although most of the community identifies with historic Christianity, traditional animist practices and beliefs remain deeply embedded in everyday village life.
