Who they are
The Jali Khel are a subgroup of the Pashtuns, concentrated mainly in the mountainous regions of northwestern Pakistan. They speak Northern Pashto and zealously uphold the traditional code of honor known as Pashtunwali, which emphasizes hospitality, family loyalty, and courage.
Their identity is deeply rooted in Islam and in clan-based community life, where important decisions are made collectively by tribal councils.
