The Mangal are a Pashtun tribe inhabiting mountainous regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Known for their loyalty to the traditional code of honor, known as Pashtunwali, they organize their social life around patriarchal clans and deeply value hospitality and independence. Their community identity is strongly rooted in the Islamic faith and the oral transmission of their traditions in the Pashto language.
