Who they are
Os Penghulu são um grupo étnico indígena da ilha de Sumatra, na Indonésia, estreitamente ligado à cultura malaia e ao povo Minangkabau. Tradicionalmente dedicados à agricultura e ao comércio rural, mantêm laços comunitários profundos fundamentados nos costumes locais e em uma identidade muçulmana consolidada ao longo de séculos. O contato com a mensagem de Cristo tem sido historicamente muito escasso em suas comunidades.
