Who they are

The Pinyin live in northwestern Cameroon, in the Santa area southwest of Bamenda, in five main villages. Each village has a traditional chief called a fon. The Pinyin language belongs to the Ngemba group, as does the language of the Awing. Almost all Pinyin identify with a Christian church, but traditional religious beliefs and practices still have a strong influence among them.
