Who they are
The San Andrés Quiché are a subgroup of the Quiché Maya people who inhabit the highlands of Guatemala. With a deep cultural heritage preserved over the centuries, they use their native language in daily life and maintain a strong connection to the land. Although most profess the Christian faith, traditional Maya elements still shape the community’s identity and worldview.
