Who they are
The Shani are a small ethnic group living mainly in northeastern Nigeria, near the Benue River basin. They make their living through family farming, participate in regional trade networks and use Hausa widely in daily life. Although most of the community follows Islamic traditions, small Christian families seek to share the message of the Gospel with their relatives and neighbors.
