The Sheko are an indigenous people inhabiting the mountains and forests of southwestern Ethiopia, belonging to the Omotic language family. Traditionally dedicated to subsistence agriculture and the cultivation of coffee and false banana, they preserve a rich cultural and community heritage, with a strong reception of the Christian message in their communities.
