Who they are
The Simaa-Makoma live in Western Province, Zambia, and also in Bundas municipality in Moxico Province, Angola. They are known as the Makoma and speak Simakoma, a Bantu language that is part of the Simaa group. This group also includes Imilangu, Mwenyi, Nyengo, Liyuwa and Mulonga. In both countries, most of the people follow traditional religions, and there are also Christians.
