Who they are
The Singpho are an indigenous community who inhabit the hills and valleys of northeastern India, especially in the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Closely related to the Jingpo of Burma, they preserve rich agricultural traditions and the ancient art of preparing wild tea. Their spiritual life is shaped by Buddhism and respect for ancestral spirits.
