Who they are
The Sorsogon Ayta are a small Indigenous community from the southern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines. Traditionally connected to the forests and mountains of the Bicol Peninsula, they face rapid cultural change and assimilation into neighboring populations. Although most formally identify with the Christian faith, the people still seek to preserve their dignity and gain a living, biblical understanding of the gospel.
