Unreached people group
The Finland-Swedes are a linguistic and cultural minority with deep roots in Finnish history, concentrated mainly in the southern and western coastal regions, as well as in the autonomous Åland archipelago. While preserving their language and Nordic traditions, they fully share Finnish citizenship and love for the nation.
Their identity is shaped by bilingualism, a rich literary heritage, and a strong devotion to maritime and community traditions, forming a unique cultural bridge between Finland and Scandinavia.

The community enjoys a high standard of living, with an active presence in academic, political, maritime, and commercial spheres. Traditional celebrations, such as midsummer and community autumn gatherings, bring families and friends together around regional dishes and traditional Nordic songs, nurturing their shared heritage.
The majority historically belongs to the Lutheran tradition, which has shaped holidays, values, and rites of passage such as baptisms and weddings. In everyday practice, however, much of the population lives in a largely secularized way, viewing the Christian faith more as cultural heritage than as an active commitment.
