Who they are
The Zauzou live in Lanping and Lushui counties in northwestern Yunnan, China. They are officially included in the Nu minority, but they speak a language of their own. Many also speak Lisu, Bai and Mandarin, which they use to communicate with other communities. The vast majority follow traditional beliefs; there are small groups of Christians and people with no religion.
