Who they are

The Buu live in three villages, Mundabli, Mofu and Bu, northeast of Wum, in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. The area is mountainous, and the villages can only be reached on foot. Most Buu grow corn, cassava, peanuts and beans for food, and a poor harvest can mean hunger. Few attend church, and many who identify as Christians continue to make traditional sacrifices.
