Os Jaraj hindus formam uma comunidade tradicional de Bengala Ocidental, na Índia, integrada ao contexto cultural e linguístico bengali. Vivendo em aldeias rurais, sustentam suas famílias com a agricultura e a pesca, preservando costumes transmitidos de geração em geração e vinculados aos ritos e festivais hindus da região. Como quase não há presença cristã conhecida em seu meio, permanecem distantes da mensagem do evangelho.
