Who they are

The Korop live in the Ndian region of southwestern Cameroon and in Cross River State, Nigeria. Their language is Durop. A study published in 2022 documented the use of Durop by all generations of Korop in Akamkpa and Cameroon, although they also speak Efik and Ejagham. Most identify as Christians in both countries, while some follow traditional religions.
