Os mairiri são uma pequena comunidade indígena que habita a ilha de Mariri, no arquipélago de Aru, nas Molucas, leste da Indonésia. Com uma profunda ligação com as águas costeiras e as florestas da região, o povo preserva sua própria língua nativa e tradições transmitidas oralmente. A vida comunitária é guiada por laços de parentesco e pela identidade islâmica integrada ao cotidiano insular.
