Os Manmet são uma pequena comunidade étnica da família linguística Mon-Khmer que habita áreas montanhosas do sudoeste da China, em regiões próximas a Mianmar e ao Laos. Vivem tradicionalmente da agricultura e preservam sua língua e seus costumes em vilarejos rurais isolados. Sua cosmovisão mescla práticas budistas tradicionais com o respeito profundo aos espíritos da natureza e dos antepassados.
