People
Who they are
The Talondo are a small Indigenous group living in the mountainous areas of Sulawesi, Indonesia, with close cultural ties to the Toraja peoples. They preserve their mother tongue and a rural way of life based on farming. Although most have historical ties to Christian churches, ancient spiritual practices and ancestral traditions still strongly influence community life.
