Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

India holds more than two thousand unreached people groups, the largest number in the world. Barriers of caste, language, and religious tradition make outreach especially difficult, and about fifty languages still have no published portion of the Bible. Even with ancient Christian communities in the south, vast regions of the north and interior remain with minimal evangelical presence.
